Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 8, 2026
1. Introduction
This Privacy Policy explains how information is collected, used, stored, and protected when you use Smart Printer - Print & Scan (the "App" or "Service"). The App is a mobile printing and scanning utility distributed through app marketplace platforms. Unless expressly stated inside the App, the App does not require users to create an in-app account.
By using the App, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with this Privacy Policy, please do not use the App.
2. Data Practices Summary
- The App helps you print documents, PDFs, photos, scans, contacts, notes, email attachments, and web pages.
- Selected files, photos, scans, contacts, notes, web print content, printer records, and print history are mainly processed locally on your device or through system and local-network print flows.
- Support feedback and analytics events may be transmitted to service endpoints identified in the product analysis.
- Subscription purchases and refunds are processed by the applicable app marketplace platform.
- The App does not require an in-app account by default.
3. Information We May Collect
3.1 Information You Provide
We may process information you choose to provide, including support requests, feedback messages, support email address, feedback subject and content, screenshots, logs, files, or diagnostic details that you choose to send for support.
3.2 Files and Printing Content
When you use printing features, the App may process user-selected PDFs, TXT files, photos, scanned documents, generated PDFs, notes, selected contacts, web page URLs, web page content, email attachments, shared files, printer names, printer IP addresses, ports, protocols, printer attributes, print job names, print job status, print history, and recently used printer records.
The current product analysis did not identify active upload of selected files, photos, contacts, scanned PDFs, or print content to business servers. These items are mainly used for local preview, PDF generation, system printing, or local network printer communication.
3.3 App Usage and Device Information
The App may collect device model, operating system version, app version, app package or bundle identifier, language, network type, screen information, public IP address, app-generated user identifier, session identifier, analytics events, feature usage events, purchase-related events, and ATT authorization status for support, analytics, troubleshooting, subscription entitlement, and service improvement.
3.4 Subscription and Purchase Information
If you purchase a subscription or use a purchase restoration feature, the App may process product identifiers, transaction identifiers, original transaction identifiers, subscription status, purchase status, cancellation status, trial status, renewal status, and entitlement information. Full payment card numbers, bank account details, Apple Account passwords, and Google Account passwords are processed by the relevant platform and are not collected by us.
4. Device Permissions
The App requests permissions only when needed for specific features:
- Photos or media library access is used to select photos or images for printing.
- Files and document access is used to import PDFs, images, and other supported documents for preview and printing.
- Camera access is used to scan paper documents and create printable images or PDFs.
- Contacts access is used only when you choose to create printable contact content.
- Local network, nearby WiFi devices, Bonjour, multicast, and network access are used to discover compatible printers, communicate with local printers, print web pages, access policies, open marketplace links, send support feedback, and transmit analytics events.
- App Tracking Transparency on iOS may be used to request and record your tracking authorization status where applicable.
You can manage or revoke permissions in your device settings. Some features may not work properly if required permissions are disabled.
5. Third-Party Services and Platform Providers
The App may interact with the following services or platform providers, depending on platform and app version:
- Apple App Store, StoreKit, and Apple platform services for distribution, subscriptions, purchase restoration, refunds, rating, and marketplace links.
- Google Play Store and Google Play services for distribution, store links, and Android marketplace flows.
- Event analytics services identified in the product analysis for app launch, page, feature, purchase, and ATT status events.
- Feedback service endpoints identified in the product analysis for support messages and technical request headers.
- Device, storage, connectivity, file picker, image picker, document scanner, contacts, WebView, URL launcher, share, PDF, and printing plugins used to provide the App features.
- Firebase-related SDK configuration exists in the project analysis. The product analysis indicates Firebase Analytics may not be actively enabled in current iOS configuration, and this should be confirmed before store release.
- Apple Search Ads attribution SDKs appear in the product analysis. If attribution is enabled in a release build, related handling should be reflected in app privacy disclosures.
6. How We Use Information
We use information to provide, operate, maintain, and improve the App; enable printing, scanning, contact printing, web printing, print history, printer discovery, subscription purchase, restore purchase, support feedback, analytics, troubleshooting, security, fraud prevention, and compliance with platform rules.
7. How We Share Information
We may share information with service providers that help operate, analyze, secure, improve, and support the App; app marketplace platforms that process purchases, subscriptions, refunds, and distribution; local network printers or system print services when you initiate printing; third-party websites when you choose to open or print a web page; and authorities or other parties where required by law or platform rules.
We do not sell personal information for money. If any analytics, attribution, or advertising practice is considered "sharing", "targeted advertising", or "tracking" under applicable law or platform rules, we will provide notice, consent, or opt-out mechanisms where required.
8. Local Storage and Retention
Local app data may include imported files, generated PDFs, scanned documents, print history, recently used printers, connected printer records, app preferences, and temporary files. Local data remains on your device unless you delete it, clear app data where supported, or uninstall the App.
Support communications, server logs, analytics events, and purchase-related records may be retained for support, security, analytics, entitlement verification, accounting, tax, fraud prevention, platform compliance, and dispute handling for as long as reasonably necessary or as required by law.
9. Security
We use reasonable technical, administrative, and organizational safeguards. Feedback parameters may be encrypted before transmission, and app-generated user identifiers may be stored using secure storage. No transmission or storage method is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
10. Your Choices and Controls
Depending on your device, platform, and region, you may manage or revoke permissions, manage tracking authorization, manage advertising identifiers, cancel or manage subscriptions through marketplace settings, restore purchases where supported, delete local app data by deleting content or uninstalling the App, and contact us to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, portability, or other privacy rights where applicable.
Because the App does not require an in-app account by default, we may need information sufficient to locate relevant records, such as support email history, transaction identifier, purchase receipt, device platform, or app-generated identifier.
11. Regional Privacy Rights
Users in the EEA, European Union, United Kingdom, Switzerland, California, other U.S. states, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Japan, South Korea, Singapore, Brazil, India, Thailand, Hong Kong, Taiwan, and other regions may have additional privacy rights depending on applicable law. These rights may include access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, consent withdrawal, portability, opt-out, appeal, or complaint rights.
Where a regional privacy law gives you greater rights than this general policy, the applicable regional law controls for users protected by that law.
12. Children's Privacy
The App is not directed to children under 13, children under 16, or the minimum age required by applicable local law. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children without appropriate parental consent where required.
13. No In-App Account by Default
The App does not require users to create an in-app account by default. Subscriptions are managed through Apple App Store or Google Play Store and are associated with your Apple Account or Google Account, not an in-app account.
14. Third-Party Links and Services
The App may contain links to third-party websites, app stores, support pages, system sharing flows, email apps, WebView content, and printer services. Third-party services are governed by their own terms and privacy policies.
15. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The latest version will be made available in the App, on our website, or through other appropriate channels. The "Last updated" date indicates when this Privacy Policy was last revised.
