1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy explains how information is processed when you use Smart Printer - Print & Scan (the "App"). This Android policy is prepared for the Google Play version of the App and the public privacy policy URL at https://printer.hiyoujoy.com/legal/privacy.

The App is a mobile printing and scanning utility. It does not require you to create an in-app account. If you do not agree with this Privacy Policy, please do not use the App.

2. Data Practices Summary

• The App helps you print documents, PDFs, photos, scanned documents, contacts, notes, email attachments, shared files, and web pages.
• Selected files, photos, scanned documents, generated PDFs, notes, web page content, contacts, printer records, and print history are mainly processed on your device for preview, PDF generation, printing, and local printer communication.
• The current Android implementation does not upload selected contacts, files, photos, scans, generated PDFs, notes, or print content to our business servers unless you deliberately send them through support or feedback, share them through a third-party service, or otherwise initiate transmission outside the App.
• Support feedback, analytics events, Firebase Analytics data, Firebase Remote Config data, technical request headers, and security logs may be transmitted for app functionality, troubleshooting, analytics, service improvement, and security.
• The current Android version does not provide subscriptions or paid digital features. If subscriptions or paid features are offered in a future Android version, purchases, refunds, subscription management, payment processing, and purchase restoration will be handled by Google Play Billing or the applicable marketplace.
• We do not use the Android Advertising ID for advertising personalization, and the Android manifest removes AD_ID related permissions.
• The App does not require an in-app account.

3. Information We Process

3.1 Information You Provide

When you submit feedback or request support, we may process your email address, feedback subject, feedback message, screenshots, logs, files, or diagnostic information that you choose to send.

When you submit feedback, we may transmit your email address, feedback subject and message, app-generated user ID, device type, device model, operating system version, app version, language settings, screen information, network type, public IP address, and related technical request headers. We use this information to respond to your request, troubleshoot issues, prevent abuse, improve service quality, and maintain security.

3.2 Files, Photos, Scans, and Print Content

Selected files, photos, scanned documents, generated PDFs, notes, web page content, and email attachments are mainly processed on your device for preview, PDF generation, printing, and local printer communication. They are not uploaded to our business servers unless you deliberately send them to us through a support or feedback channel, share them through a third-party service, or otherwise initiate transmission outside the App.

The App may store imported files, generated PDFs, scanned documents, print history, recently used printer records, connected printer records, preferences, and temporary files locally on your device.

3.3 Contacts

Contacts are accessed only when you choose the contact printing feature and grant the relevant Android permission. The App may process contact names, phone numbers, email addresses, and contact photos or thumbnails to generate printable contact content on your device. The current Android product implementation does not upload selected contacts to our business servers.

3.4 Printer and Local Network Information

To discover and communicate with compatible printers, the App may process local network printer names, IP addresses, ports, protocols, printer attributes, printer status, print job names, print job status, print history, and recently used printer records.

3.5 Device, App, Network, Analytics, and Remote Config Data

The App may process device model, operating system version, app version, Android package name, language or region settings, screen information, network type, public IP address, app-generated user ID, Firebase installation or analytics identifiers where applicable, session identifiers, app launch events, app interaction events, feature usage events, diagnostics, and performance information.

Firebase Analytics and Firebase Remote Config may be used on Android to measure app launches, app interactions, app version, language or region settings, device and app information, and to deliver remote configuration for app operation, troubleshooting, analytics, and service improvement. We do not use the Android Advertising ID for advertising personalization, and the App removes AD_ID related permissions in the Android manifest.

3.6 Purchases and Subscriptions, if applicable

The current Android version does not provide subscriptions or paid digital features. If subscriptions or paid features are offered on your platform in the future, purchases, refunds, subscription management, payment processing, and purchase restoration will be handled by the applicable app marketplace, such as Google Play. We do not collect full payment card numbers, bank account details, Google Account passwords, or other marketplace account passwords.

4. Device Permissions

The App requests permissions only when needed for specific features:

• Camera: used to scan paper documents and create printable images or PDFs.
• Contacts: used only when you choose to print contact content.
• Files and media: used to import PDFs, photos, images, email attachments, and other supported documents for preview and printing.
• Nearby Wi-Fi devices, local network, multicast, and network access: used to discover compatible printers, communicate with local printers, print web pages, access legal pages, open Google Play links, send support feedback, receive remote configuration, and transmit analytics events.
• Network state: used to understand connection type for app functionality, troubleshooting, feedback, and analytics context.

You can manage or revoke permissions in Android system settings. Some features may not work properly if required permissions are disabled.

5. Third-Party Services and Platform Providers

Depending on your Android version, device, and App version, the App may interact with:

• Google Play Store and Google Play services for app distribution, store links, ratings, marketplace flows, and, if introduced in the future, Google Play Billing.
• Firebase Analytics and Firebase Remote Config for analytics, remote configuration, app operation, troubleshooting, service improvement, and stability.
• Event analytics services used for app launch, page, feature, interaction, diagnostic, and service improvement events.
• Feedback service endpoints used for support messages and technical request headers.
• Android system print services, local network printers, WebView, file picker, image picker, document scanner, contacts, URL launcher, share, PDF, storage, device information, connectivity, and printing components used to provide App features.
• Third-party websites and services that you choose to open, print, share to, or send content through.

Third-party services process information under their own terms and privacy policies where they independently control the processing.

6. How We Use Information

We use information to:

• Provide printing, scanning, file import, contact printing, web printing, PDF generation, printer discovery, print history, and support features.
• Respond to feedback and support requests.
• Troubleshoot issues, maintain security, prevent abuse, and improve service quality.
• Measure app launches, interactions, diagnostics, performance, and feature reliability.
• Deliver remote configuration needed for app operation and service improvement.
• Comply with legal, security, marketplace, and platform requirements.

7. How We Share Information

We may share information with:

• Service providers that help operate, analyze, secure, improve, and support the App.
• Google Play and Google services where needed for app distribution, store flows, platform services, and, if introduced in the future, Google Play Billing.
• Firebase for analytics, remote configuration, troubleshooting, and service improvement.
• Android system print services and local network printers when you initiate printing.
• Third-party websites, email apps, sharing targets, or other services when you choose to open, print, send, or share content through them.
• Authorities or other parties where required by law, legal process, security needs, or platform rules.

We do not sell personal information for money. We do not use Android Advertising ID for advertising personalization.

8. Local Storage, Retention, and Deletion

Local app data may include imported files, generated PDFs, scanned documents, print history, recently used printers, connected printer records, app preferences, and temporary files.

To delete local files, print history, recent printer records, and app preferences, you may delete the relevant content in the App where available, clear app data where supported by Android, or uninstall the App.

To request deletion of support communications or server-side records, contact us at tech@hiyoujoy.com and include information sufficient to locate your records, such as your feedback email address, device platform, app-generated user ID, or relevant support history.

Support communications, server logs, analytics events, Firebase data, remote configuration records, and security records may be retained for support, security, analytics, troubleshooting, fraud prevention, platform compliance, and dispute handling for as long as reasonably necessary or as required by law.

9. Security

We use reasonable technical, administrative, and organizational safeguards. Feedback parameters may be encrypted before transmission, and app-generated user IDs may be stored using secure storage. No transmission or storage method is completely secure.

10. Your Choices and Controls

You may:

• Manage or revoke Android permissions in system settings.
• Choose not to use features that require camera, contacts, files, media, nearby Wi-Fi devices, or local network access.
• Delete local data where available, clear app data where supported by Android, or uninstall the App.
• Contact us to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, portability, consent withdrawal, or other privacy rights where applicable.

Because the App does not require an in-app account, we may need information sufficient to locate relevant records, such as your feedback email address, device platform, app-generated user ID, or support history.

11. Google Play Data Safety Notes

The App's Google Play Data Safety disclosures should be consistent with this Privacy Policy and the actual release build. Depending on the features you use and the final release configuration, relevant categories may include personal info such as email address for feedback, photos and videos, files and documents, contacts, device or other IDs, app activity, app info and performance, diagnostics, and public IP address. The current Android version should not declare purchase history or payment information unless Google Play Billing or another paid feature is actually implemented.

12. Children's Privacy

The App is intended only for individuals who are at least 18 years old. If you are under 18, you must not download, access, or use the App, even with permission or supervision from a parent or legal guardian.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If we learn that we have collected personal information from an individual under 18, we will take reasonable steps to delete it. A parent, legal guardian, or affected individual may contact us using the details below to request deletion. Google Play target audience, content rating, store text, screenshots, and Data Safety disclosures should remain consistent with this 18-or-older restriction.

13. Third-Party Links and Services

The App may contain links to Google Play, support pages, legal pages, system sharing flows, email apps, WebView content, user-entered websites, and printer services. Third-party services are governed by their own terms and privacy policies.

14. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The latest version will be made available in the App, on our website, or through other appropriate channels. The "Last updated" date indicates when this Privacy Policy was last revised.
